For the better part of the 1980s, she was the face and voice of sex education in America. Meet Dr. Ruth Westheimer, a pint-sized Jewish German woman who was widely recognized as America's most famous sex therapist during the Reagan era.

In the upcoming documentary "Ask Dr. Ruth," the 90-year-old Westheimer reveals her incredible story of how she survived the horrors of the Holocaust to start a new life in America, where she eventually carved out a successful career as a sex educator and radio and TV host, and ultimately became a beloved '80s cultural icon.

Directed by two-time Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker Ryan White (The Keepers, The Case Against 8), "Ask Dr. Ruth" is scheduled to make its world premiere later this month at the Sundance Film Festival. It will be released on Hulu later in the year, and later in theaters, via Magnolia Pictures.
