It was supposed to be the greatest party of the year. But it was all a freakin' scam orchestrated by a twenty-something a-hole entrepreneur and a tax-evading rapper.
Check out the official trailer for the new Netflix original documentary "FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened," which offers the behind-the-scenes account of the notorious Fyre Festival, a 2017 live-music event in the Bahamas that was widely promoted on social media as a luxury party experience, yet turned out to be a total shit show.
Chris Smith, the director of the Emmy-nominated Jim Carrey documentary "Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond" and the cult 1999 documentary "American Movie," gives viewers a first-hand look into the disastrous unraveling of the infamous Fyre music festival, as told by the organizers themselves.
"FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened" is set to premiere on Netflix January 18th. Watch the trailer, above.
