Netflix has released the official trailer for the much-anticipated Season 2 of Marvel's "The Punisher," which sees the return of ex-Marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle (again played by Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal) as he goes up against his number one enemy, Billy Russo a.k.a. Jigsaw (Ben Barnes).

"I'm not the one who dies, kid. I'm the one who does the killing," Frank says to his new sidekick, a teenage street-smart grifter named Amy Bendix (played by "13 Reasons Why" actress Giorgia Whigham).

Ever since Frank saved Amy from a couple of goons at a local bar, the two have become unlikely partners. Now they're on the run together, trying to evade a dangerous hit-man named John Pilgrim (played by Josh Stewart, from "The Dark Knight Rises"). But when Billy Russo (Barnes), Frank's former war buddy who tried multiple times to kill him in season one, is out free and has now gotten himself an army, Castle decides to stop hiding, so he can start punishing once more.

"Let me be what I meant to be," Frank growls. Well, that can only mean one thing, he's going to be needing a crap-ton of body bags once he's done.

Executive produced by Steve Lightfoot (NBC's Hannibal) and based on the beloved Marvel anti-hero character of the same name, "The Punisher" returns with its second (and most likely its final) season on January 18th, only on Netflix.

synopsis:
