To regain custody of his 8-year-old daughter, Jean-Claude Van Damme must infiltrate a notorious crime syndicate in this gritty French-language crime thriller.

The legendary action star plays a hardened nightclub bouncer who, after a run-in with the law, finds himself working with a hard-nosed detective. To secure his freedom and secure a future for his daughter, he agrees to work as an informant and infiltrate a dangerous criminal gang.

"The Bouncer" is written by French scribe Jeremie Guez (The Night Eats the World) and directed by French helmer Julien Leclercq, whose credits include the French crime thrillers "The Assault" and "The Crew."

Released in France last summer, the film is finally making its way to the States, opening in select U.S. theaters and hitting VOD this Friday, January 11th.
