A degenerate gambler has less than 24 hours to pay off a dangerous loan shark. His day becomes increasingly complicated and frantic when he is also forced to look after his young son.

Check out the new U.S. trailer for "West Of Sunshine," an Australian drama, which earned solid reviews at the 2017 Venice Film Festival.

Starring Australian actor Damian Hill (Pawno, The Leftovers) as the gambling father and newcomer Ty Perham as his young son, the film marks the feature debut of writer-director Jason Raftopoulos.

Co-starring Kat Stewart (Underbelly), Arthur Angel (Red Dog), Eliza D'Souza (Predestination) and Kaarin Fairfax (Picnic at Hanging Rock), "West Of Sunshine" is receiving a U.S. theatrical and VOD release on January 25th.

synopsis:
Separated from his family and caught in a cycle of gambling and debt, Jim has less than a day to repay a violent loan shark. His day is turned upside down when he must look after his young son. Jim's relationship with his son is tested as his plans to pay back the loan fail. When his last desperate effort to repay the debt puts his son's life at risk, he must make a choice between his past and a second chance at life.
