Noomi Rapace teaches a young rich heiress to "fight back" in the newly-released official trailer for the kidnapping action-thriller "Close."

Written and directed by English filmmaker Vicky Jewson (Born of War, Lady Godiva), the Netflix film sees Rapace as a highly-skilled, military-trained body guard who is hired to protect a wealthy teenage heiress (played by The Book Thief's Sophie Nelisse). But when Rapace's character thwarts an armed kidnapping attempt, she finds herself escaping with the young girl in tow. Now they are forced to go on the run and lay low until they can figure out who was behind the abduction.

Loosely inspired by the life of the world's leading female bodyguard, British security expert Jacquie Davis, the thriller also co-stars Indira Varma (HBO's Game of Thrones) and Eoin Macken (Syfy's Nightflyers).

"Close" will be premiering on Netflix beginning Friday, January 18th.

To protect an heiress from highly trained kidnappers, a lone security expert (Noomi Rapace) must unravel a sinister plot -- while striving to stay alive in this thrilling, female-driven action drama written and directed by Vicky Jewson.
