The dead have risen and are now attacking the living in ancient Korea.

Prepare to "fear our hunger" as innocent villagers get devoured by the dead in the new official trailer for Netflix's Korean horror series "Kingdom."

Taking place during Korea's Joseon dynasty, the six-episode period thriller imagines a frightening scenario in which ancient Korea is suddenly hit by a mysterious zombie outbreak, spreading from village to village.

The series stars South Korean actor Ju Ji-hoon (Along with the Gods, The Spy Gone North) as a crown prince who must figure out a way to protect his Kingdom when a deadly new plague turns the people into flesh-eating monsters.

"Kingdom" is created and written by Kim Eun-hee (creator of the hit Korean detective series "Signal").

Acclaimed Korean filmmaker Kim Seong-hun (whose credits include 2016's survival thriller "The Tunnel" and 2014's crime thriller "A Hard Day") directs the series, which is set to debut on Netflix January 25, 2019.
