Space invaders come in all shapes and sizes. And sometimes those shapes are cute baby creatures with powerful choppers.

Check out a brand-new international trailer for "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part," the upcoming sequel to 2014's animated action comedy blockbuster, starring the voices of Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks.

The film, which is set within a LEGO toy universe, sees the return of Emmet Brickowski (Pratt), a happy-go-lucky Lego construction worker who now finds himself living in a Mad Max-like wasteland with his badass girlfriend, Lucy Wyldstyle (Banks).

When Emmet and Lucy's Lego community is suddenly invaded by strange shape-shifting aliens, they are forced to go on the defensive. But when Lucy and other Lego individuals are suddenly abducted and taken away by a runaway spaceship, Emmet is left with no other choice but to carry out a rescue mission alone. Luckily, Emmet winds up bumping into a space-traveling, dinosaur-training cowboy named Rex Dangervest (also voiced by Pratt), who has just agreed to help.

Also featuring the voices of Tiffany Haddish as the alien queen and Will Arnett again as the voice of Lego Batman, with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as the voices of Superman and Green Lantern, "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part" is due out on February 8, 2019.

synopsis:
The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part," reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.

The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical.
