From Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and the animation team that brought you the hit DreamWorks-produced fantasy series "Trollhunters," here's the first official trailer for the upcoming Netflix series "3Below: Tales of Arcadia."

Starring the voices of Diego Luna, Tatiana Maslany, and Nick Offerman, the animated adventure comedy centers on three space aliens who must go on the run. They go into hiding on a simple "mud planet" called Earth, landing in the strange town of Arcadia, which is the same setting as "Trollhunters."

When intergalactic bounty hunters begin to chase them across the galaxy, Princess Aja Tarron (Maslany) and Prince Krel Tarron (Luna) and their guardian, Commander Vex (Offerman), quickly make the decision to hide out on Earth as they disguise themselves as everyday humans: a teenage girl, a Latino boy, and a senior citizen.

Also featuring the voices of Glenn Close, Steven Yeun, Kelsey Grammer, and Nick Frost, among others, the first part of "3Below: Tales of Arcadia" is scheduled to premiere December 21st only on Netflix.

synopsis:
From visionary director Guillermo del Toro and the team behind DreamWorks Trollhunters, 3BELOW: TALES OF ARCADIA is the story of a teenage girl, a Latino boy, and an old man who just happen to be aliens. With their home planet torn apart by Civil War, Princess Aja Tarron and Prince Krel Tarron will find themselves marooned on the most backwater, primitive world in the galaxy: Earth.

The three take on human guises to conceal their alien form as they search for a safe passage back to their home planet, but while searching, they develop a real affection for Earth and its inhabitants. This series ultimately asks the simple yet complex question: "What is home?"
