HBO has unveiled an official teaser for the upcoming eighth and final season of the hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones."

Without revealing any actual footage from the new season, the 30-second promo offers viewers a few enigmatic hints on what to expect in the final episodes -- and mainly you should prepare for plenty of Fire and Ice!

In the preview, the camera pans across the famous Painted Table at Dragonstone, in which there's a large carving of a map of Westeros. A icy mist drifts across the table before it smothers a wooden sculpture of a wolf, which represents the House of Stark. The frost quickly turns the wolf sculpture into ice. The frost continues to putter across the map before it surrounds a sculpture of a dragon, perhaps representing the resurrected dragon that now belongs to the White Walkers.

The camera quickly cuts to the other side of the map. The southern region of Westeros. There's a billowing blanket of fire that engulfs a sculpture of a lion, the symbol for House Lannister. Soon, a blazing burst of fire smashes against a freezing fog of ice, which immediately produces a wall of muddy ash and stone.

So, what does it all mean? It means we will have to wait until April for the answers.

So, mark your calendars, "Game of Thrones" returns April with its final six episodes.

synopsis:
Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all will play the 'Game of Thrones.'
