Based on the best-selling true-crime book by famed legal thriller novelist John Grisham, check out the official trailer for the Netflix original documentary series "The Innocent Man."

Directed and produced by acclaimed documentarian Clay Tweel (Finders Keepers, Gleason, Out of Omaha), "The Innocent Man" is a six-episode docu-series that chronicles the events surrounding the police homicide investigations of two women who were brutally murdered in 1982 and 1984 in the small town of Ada, Oklahoma, in which four (possibly innocent) men were arrested, convicted on tainted evidence, and sentenced to death.

The Netflix series is based on the best-seller "The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town," which is Grisham's first work of nonfiction.

Featuring archival police footage and photos, and including interviews with victims' friends and families, along with testimonies from attorneys and local journalists with a guest appearance from Grisham himself, "The Innocent Man" is set to stream globally on Netflix December 14th.
