Tree Gelbman (Jessica Rothe) is once again stuck in a time loop -- and this time, she needs to figure out a way to save all her college friends from being butchered by a creepy baby mask-wearing serial killer.

Check out the first official trailer for "Happy Death Day 2U," the highly-anticipated sequel to Blumhouse's surprise slasher hit, which has been described as a cross between "Groundhog Day" and "Scream."

Immediately picking up where the original movie left off, the sequel finds college student Theresa "Tree" Gelbman (Rothe) back in her dorm room after just surviving one nightmarish birthday. However, she soon realizes that she is again stuck in a continuous time loop where she dies, repeatedly. But this time around, her college pals are also suffering the same horrific Groundhog Day-like scenario.

Now Tree and her friends must put their heads together to figure out how to reset the day correctly before being killed off by a masked serial killer.

Co-starring Israel Broussard, Phi Vu, Suraj Sharma, Sarah Yarkin, and Ruby Modine, "Happy Death Day 2U" is again written and directed by Christopher Landon (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones).

The film is scheduled to open theatrically on February 14, 2019 -- Valentine's Day.
