Disney has released the first official teaser trailer for "Artemis Fowl," the upcoming film adaptation of the best-selling action-fantasy book series by Eoin Colfer.
Directed by actor/filmmaker Kenneth Branagh (Murder on the Orient Express, Thor), the movie follows a 12-year-old criminal mastermind named Artemis Fowl (played by newcomer Ferdia Shaw) as he discovers a hidden underground fantasy world ruled by a powerful race of fairies. Artemis, along with his trusted butler/bodyguard (played by "Game of Thrones" actor Nonzo Anozie), find themselves going on a magical journey to find his family's connection to the clandestine realm.
Co-starring Hong Chau, Josh Gad, and Oscar-winner Judi Dench, "Artemis Fowl" is based on the first installment of Colfer's eight book series.
The film is scheduled to be released in the summer.
