"Something is wrong with reality," says Green Arrow's Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as he is seen donning Flash's iconic red superhero costume in the newly released preview for this year's highly anticipated Arrowverse crossover event called "Elseworlds," during which the Arrow and the Flash will swap lives as a result of an alternative reality-bending timeline.

Taking place over three consecutive nights, and over three CW superhero shows -- beginning Sunday, December 9th with "The Flash" and then continues on Monday, Dec. 10th with "Arrow" and then concludes on Tuesday, Dec. 11th with "Supergirl," the fifth annual CW crossover event will feature Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan, FX's Justified) as nefarious Arkham Asylum doctor John Deegan who appears to be the mastermind responsible for flipping the Arrowverse on its head.

"You did this to us. You can undo it," says Queen. To which Dr. Deegan quickly shoots back, "Why would I want too?"

In addition to Oliver Queen / Green Arrow (Amell), Barry Allen / The Flash (Grant Gustin), and Kara Danvers / Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), the 3-night event is also featuring the first-ever introduction of Batwoman / Kate Kane (played here by Ruby Rose).

And "Grimm" actress Elizabeth Tulloch will appear for the first time on the "Supergirl" series as Lois Lane with Tyler Hoechlin returning to reprise his role as Superman, who is now in a black suit. "Designated Survivor" actor LaMonica Garrett will also make an appearance as extraterrestrial super-being Mar-Novu, better known in the comics as 'The Monitor.'

The event begins December 9 on the CW.
