The official U.S. trailer has been released for "Never Look Away," an inter-generational German drama, which hails from acclaimed German filmmaker Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, of the Oscar-winning foreign thriller "The Lives of Others."

Starring Tom Schilling (Who Am I), Sebastian Koch (Bridge of Spies, The Lives of Others), and Paula Beer (Frantz), the historical film spans over three tumultuous decades to tell the love story between a rising German painter and the daughter of a domineering Nazi doctor.

Said to be inspired by the life of German abstract artist Gerhard Richter, "Never Look Away" has been selected by Germany as their official 2019 Oscar entry for Best Foreign Language Film.

The film will be released in U.S. theaters sometime in early 2019.

synopsis:
