They are some who believe the existence of real-life superheroes. But there's also some who may still need a little more convincing.

"Some of us don't die with bullets. Some of us can bend steel," declares Samuel L. Jackson's supervillain character Elijah Price (a.k.a. Mr. Glass) in the newly-released extended commercial for M. Night Shyamalan's hotly-awaited third and final chapter of his superhero thriller trilogy.

"We are not meant to have this much power," retorts superhero skeptic, Dr. Ellie Staple (played here by Emmy-winner Sarah Paulson), who is a prison psychiatrist who believes there's a new, rare mental disorder, which is somehow convincing people they have superhuman abilities. (Although, some would call them real-life superheroes.)

Three of her most notable patients are Mr. Glass (Jackson), a mastermind felon with a genetic disorder that makes his bones easily breakable; David Dunn (Bruce Willis), a former security guard who possesses superhuman strength, invulnerability, and a clairvoyant gift, and Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a psychotic abductor who suffers from multiple personalities, including one called "the beast."

They are three characters who have appeared in Shyamalan's comic book-tinged blockbuster thrillers "Unbreakable" and "Split," which are now in one shared superhero universe.

"Glass" is primarily set in a mental asylum, in which "the bad guys are teaming up." When Mr. Glass convinces Crumb to be his partner-in-crime, they orchestrate a daring prison break. And the only person who can stop them is unbreakable hero David Dunn.

Co-starring Anya Taylor-Joy, who reprises her role as "Split" survivor Casey Cooke, "Glass" is due to open theatrically January 18th. Watch the new 60-second spot, above.

synopsis:
M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals -- 2000's Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016's Split, from Universal -- in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass. From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb's superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
