HBO has released the official trailer for "Icebox," a timely immigration drama that tells the harrowing story of a 12-year-old Honduran boy who, after seeking asylum in the U.S., is immediately placed in a temporary detention center.

The film stars 14-year-old actor Anthony Gonzalez, who is perhaps best known as the voice of Miguel in 2017's Pixar blockbuster "Coco."

Written and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Daniel Sawka, "Icebox" is based on the award-winning short film of the same name.

After premiering to glowing reviews at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, "Icebox" is now set to debut on Friday, December 7th on the HBO network.
