Captive State — New Teaser Trailer: 'The Phoenix Will Rise'

A brand-new teaser trailer has been released for "Captive State," the post-alien invasion thriller that stars John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane, The Conners), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel, The Conjuring Films), Jonathan Majors (White Boy Rick), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Alan Ruck (Sierra Burgess Is a Loser), Ben Daniels (TV's The Exorcist), and James Ransone (It: Chapter Two).

Set ten years after Earth is invaded by a mysterious extra-terrestrial force, known as "The Legislature," the sci-fi thriller revolves around several humans living in an occupied Chicago where a number of local residents have secretly waged an insurgency against the corrupt government.

The film comes from acclaimed English director Rupert Wyatt, who helmed 2011's sci-fi blockbuster "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." Wyatt also co-wrote the film's screenplay with Erica Beeney (The Battle of Shaker Heights).

"Captive State" is currently slated for a March 29th theatrical release. Watch the new teaser, above.
