DriverX — Trailer

"Better Call Saul" actor Patrick Fabian plays a financially struggling family man embarking on a new career as a ridesharing driver in the trailer for the Los Angeles-set midlife-crisis drama "DriverX."

Co-starring Tanya Clarke (Cinemax's Banshee) as Fabian's wife, the film explores the middle-age anxieties of a newly out-of-work record store owner named Leonard (Fabian) who is suddenly forced to make a career change. In order to make ends meet, Leonard has decided to work as a self-employed driver on an Uber-like ridesharing app. After driving a couple of Los Angeles locals, he soon questions his plans for the future.

Written and directed by indie filmmaker Henry Barrial (Pig, True Love, Some Body), "DriverX" is coming to theaters and VOD on November 30th. Watch the trailer, above.

Unemployed husband and father Leonard (played by Better Call Saul's Patrick Fabian) is an unapologetically old school guy living in a tech-addled world. In order to make ends meet, he plunges headfirst into the brave new world of the gig economy as a driver for DriverX, a popular rideshare service. Roaming the streets of Los Angeles by dark, Leonard finds himself drawn into a sex, alcohol, and Tinder-fueled night world where the next person to get in your car could be anyone: your new best friend, your worst nightmare, or even your next lover. Cuttingly funny and perceptive, DriverX is a timely, all-too-real look at finding your footing in the age of digital disruption.
