Check out the trailer for the romantic hiking drama "Maine," starring Spanish actress Laia Costa (Life Itself) and Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl).

The indie film, which premiered back in April at the Tribeca Film Festival, follows a married Spanish woman (Costa) as she attempts to hike the entire Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia, only to find herself developing a romantic relationship with a fellow hiker, a young American idealist (Mann).

"Maine" is the sophomore film from writer-director Matthew Brown, following his 2015 feature debut, the low-budget coming-of-age drama "In the Treetops."

The film is set to be released in select theaters on December 13th and on VOD and Digital December 14th.

A married Spanish woman named Bluebird (Laia Costa) attempts to hike the entire Appalachian Trail solo in order to find clarity, but her solitude is interrupted by a young American hiker (Thomas Mann). The pair develop an emotional and romantic connection while traveling together, but Bluebird ultimately must face the trail and her own feelings alone.
