added: Mon, Nov 5th '18

Hulu has released the official trailer for "The Bisexual," the darkly comic British relationship series co-created by and starring Iranian-American filmmaker Desiree Akhavan (The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Appropriate Behaviour).

The series also stars acclaimed English actress Maxine Peake (The Theory of Everything, Black Mirror: Metalhead) and Irish actor Brian Gleeson (Phantom Thread, Logan Lucky).

Comprised of six half-hour episodes, "The Bisexual" follows Leila (Akhavan), an American living in England who learns that her British girlfriend (played by Peake) has just ended their 10-year relationship. While forced to move in with a new roommate (Gleeson), Leila finds herself exploring her own bisexuality for the first time in her adult life.

Written and directed by Akhavan and co-created by Rowan Riley, "The Bisexual" makes its US debut next week, set to stream on Friday, November 16 on Hulu.

Fresh from winning the Grand Jury prize at Sundance, Desiree Akhavan (The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Appropriate Behaviour) co-writes, directs and stars in this new six-part comedy drama for Hulu.

BAFTA-nominated Maxine Peake and Brian Gleeson also star in this painfully funny series that explores the differences between dating men and women from the perspective of Leila -- who finds herself, for the first time, doing both...
