A new featurette for "Creed II" offers a look at the tense reunion between Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and his former Russian rival, Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren).

The film, a sequel to 2015's hit "Rocky" spinoff, once again follows Apollo Creed's son, Adonis (Michael B. Jordan), as he steps back into the ring, this time for a boxing match that could not be more personal.

"Ivan was an Olympic champion. He was a hero of the Soviet Union. But 33 years ago he lost a fight to Rocky Balboa," Lundgren explains about what his iconic character has been up to since the events of "Rocky IV." "So, now, he's trying to turn his life around using his son as the vehicle for him to come back on to the world stage."

Real-life German-Romanian boxer Florian Munteanu plays Ivan's son, Viktor Drago, who challenges Adonis to an epic fight. It's clear that Adonis wants payback for his father's death. Rocky, on the other hand, doesn't want to see Adonis suffer the same fate as his father.

Filmmaker Steven Caple Jr., of the Sundance hit drama "The Land," takes over directing duties from Ryan Coogler, who only serves as executive producer on "Creed II." The film is due out November 21st.

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family's past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what's worth fighting for, and discover that nothing's more important than family.

Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can't escape your history.
