Three-time Oscar-nominee Nick Nolte plays an aging widower suffering from Alzheimer's in the official trailer for the upcoming grandfather-themed melodrama "Head Full of Honey."

The film, an English-language remake of the 2014 German film of the same name, has the veteran Hollywood actor sharing the screen with his real-life granddaughter Sophie Lane Nolte, alongside Matt Dillon (Wayward Pines) and Emily Mortimer (Mary Poppins Returns).

The story focuses on a loving family dealing with an ailing grandfather who is struggling with Alzheimer's. When his longtime wife suddenly passes away, a grief-stricken Amadeus (Nick Nolte) finds himself having serious problems with his memory, sometimes to the point of forgetting his wife's recent death.

His granddaughter Matilda (Sophie Lane Nolte) comes up with the idea of accompanying her grandfather through Europe for one final road adventure, so they can retrace the footsteps of how Amadeus first met his wife before his memory totally fades away.

Well-known German actor Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds), who co-wrote and co-directed the original German film, directs the upcoming American remake, which also co-stars himself, Jacqueline Bisset, Jake Weber, Claire Forlani, and Eric Roberts.

"Head Full of Honey" is scheduled to open in select U.S. theaters on November 30th.

Matilda (Sophie Lane Nolte) tries to help her grandfather, Amadeus (Nick Nolte), who is suffering from Alzheimer's, to navigate his forgetfulness, and ends up going on a remarkable adventure with him.
