Netflix has released the official trailer for the forthcoming second installment of the music documentary series "ReMastered," which is created and executive produced by Emmy-and-Peabody award-winning documentarian brothers Jeff Zimbalist and Michael Zimbalist (The Two Escobars, Favela Rising, Nossa Chape, Pele).

Directed by Oscar-winner Barbara Kopple (Miss Sharon Jones!, Harlan County U.S.A.) and co-directed by documentary producer Sara Dosa (Audrie & Daisy), Track 2 of the ReMastered series, called "Tricky Dick and The Man In Black," tells the story of how country music legend Johnny Cash was invited by President Nixon to perform at the White House in 1970. But because he feared that he was being used as a political tool, Cash decided not to sing Nixon's anti-hippie song choices and instead performed his own set of songs.

Featuring 8 legendary music stories (or "8 Tracks"), "ReMastered" is an ongoing documentary anthology series, with each feature-length installment to be released on a monthly basis.

"ReMastered Track 2: Tricky Dick and The Man In Black" is set to premiere this Friday, November 2 only on Netflix.

synopsis:
Concerned by a rising rock-n-roll influence on a growing liberal fanbase, President Nixon invited Johnny Cash to the White House to solidify his base in the traditionally more conservative genre of country music. What Cash did instead was subversive and surprised everyone. Cash's political values had begun to take a new shape after his famed prison concerts at Folsom and San Quentin and this night marked the climax of his political transformation.
