added: Fri, Oct 19th '18

Showtime has released a new official trailer for "Black Monday," Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's upcoming 1980s Wall Street-themed series, which stars Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells, and Regina Hall.

The ten-episode darkly comic series, which is set against the backdrop of the worst stock market crash in history, in which wall street suffered through the worst single-day drop ever on October 19, 1987, Cheadle, Rannells, and Hall play three unconventional stock traders working at a fast-growing financial firm during a period of unbridled excess and greed.

Co-created and co-written by David Caspe (creator of "Happy Endings" and "Marry Me") and Jordan Cahan (producer-writer of "Marry Me"), "Black Monday" is being executive produced by Goldberg and Rogen, who also directed the pilot episode, which is slated to premiere Sunday, January 20th on Showtime.

BLACK MONDAY takes viewers back to October 19, 1987 -- aka Black Monday, the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. To this day, no one knows who caused it ... until now. It's the story of how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine and the glass ceiling.
