In the gritty inner-city drama "Pimp," Keke Palmer (Scream Queens, Akeelah and the Bee) plays a young street hustler named Wednesday who, after being raised by her pimp father and her prostitute mother, has decided to break into the dangerous game of street pimping.

Wednesday soon enters into a romantic relationship with one of her prostitutes, Nikki (played here by Haley Ramm, from the Hulu series "Light as a Feather"). But her future is put at risk when a rival street pimp (The Blacklist's Edi Gathegi) threatens not only her striving business but everything she holds dear.

Executive produced by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lee Daniels (Precious, TV's Empire) and co-executive produced by the film's star Keke Palmer, who makes her producing debut, "Pimp" is written and directed by indie filmmaker Christine Crokos.

The film, which also co-stars Aunjanue Ellis, Vanessa Morgan, Mike E. Winfield, Lyrica Okano, and rapper DMX, is hitting theaters and VOD on November 9th.
