Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) doesn't like to be called "fish boy," he prefers the label "fish man" as he comes face to face with a gang of local thugs in the new 30-second commercial for the upcoming DC superhero movie "Aquaman."
The action-adventure film, directed by genre helmer James Wan (Furious 7, The Conjuring Films), traces the origins of the famed DC superhero who was mostly raised by his human father (played here by veteran Maori actor Temuera Morrison) and was born to an Atlantean queen mother (Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman), who had told him at an early age that he has the potential to unite two worlds: "the land and the sea."
Co-starring Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the film also follows Aquaman's quest to search for the mythical Trident of Poseidon, a powerful staff that will help Arthur when he challenges his evil half-brother for the underwater throne of Atlantis.
"Aquaman" arrives in theaters December 21st.
