If you loved "High School Musical," but would have really, really, loved to see the kids being chased by flesh-eating zombies. Well, this is the perfect movie for you!

Check out the new international trailer for "Anna and the Apocalypse," the British high school musical comedy about a group of dancing-and-singing teens trying to fend off a zombie outbreak during Christmas.

English actress Ella Hunt (Robot Overlords, Les Miserables) stars as the titular Anna, a high school senior who finds herself hanging out with a group of misfits at Christmas. Things take a strange and dark turn when their sleepy British town is suddenly invaded by hordes of ravenous zombies. Now Anna and her friends must fight, sing, and dance their way across town to get to the high school auditorium, where presumably it's safe and zombie-free.

Directed by Scottish comedy helmer John McPhail (Where Do We Go From Here?), "Anna and the Apocalypse" is the feature-length version of the 2011 BAFTA-winning short film "Zombie Musical," which was written and directed by the late, Scottish filmmaker Ryan McHenry, who at 27 died from bone cancer in 2015.

At the time of his death, McHenry was developing and co-writing the script for "Anna" with friend Alan McDonald. After McHenry's death, the film project took on a new meaning. It became a mission for McHenry's friends to finish what would have been his feature debut.

"Anna and the Apocalypse" also stars Malcolm Cumming, Sarah Swire, Christopher Leveaux, Marli Siu, and Ben Wiggins with guest appearances by Mark Benton and Paul Kaye. The film is being released theatrically on November 30th, both in the U.S. and in the U.K.

synopsis:
When the zombie apocalypse hits the sleepy town of Little Haven -- at Christmas -- teenager Anna and her high school friends have to fight, sing and dance to survive, with the undead horde all around them. Teaming up with her best friend John, Anna has to fight her way through zombified snowmen, Santas, elves and Christmas shoppers to get across town to the high school, where they'll be safe. But they soon discover that being a teenager is just as difficult as staying alive, even at the end of the world.
