Bodied — Official Red Band Trailer

added: Mon, Oct 8th '18

Directed by veteran music video helmer Joseph Khan and produced by Eminem, "Bodied" is an edgy pitch-black satire set in the competitive world of rap battles. It follows a white, progressive Berkeley student (played by American Vandal's Calum Worthy) as he discovers he has an amazing gift for freestyle rapping and thinking up rhyming insults while accidentally entering into an underground rap competition, where he battles mostly black and Asian rappers (played by Jackie Long and Jonathan Park aka 'Dumbfoundead').

The film premiered last year at the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the People's Choice Award. Since then, the movie was acquired by YouTube and indie film label NEON.

Co-starring Anthony Michael Hall, Shoniqua Shandai, Rory Uphold, and Charlamagne Tha God, "Bodied" will open in theaters on November 2nd, and then be made available on YouTube Premium November 28th. In the meantime, watch the newly-released red band trailer, above.

Words are weapons in the world's most brutal lyrical sport. Produced by Eminem and directed by world-renowned music video director Joseph Khan, BODIED is a go-for-the-jugular, hilarious look inside the competitive world of rap battles.
