Check out an early peek at Season 2 of Syfy's darkly comic ultra-violent schizophrenic crime series "Happy!," which stars Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as Nick Sax, a disgraced New York ex-detective-turned-alcoholic hitman who partners up with an imaginary blue winged horse named Happy (voiced by comedian Patton Oswalt).

The series, which is based on the best-selling graphic novel of the same name by comic book writer Grant Morrison and illustrator Darick Robertson, is executive produced and directed by genre filmmaker Brian Taylor, whose credits include the "Crank" films and the recent Nicolas Cage-starring horror "Mom and Dad."

And while Season 1 took place during Christmas, it seems Season 2 is going to be set around the Easter holiday, during which Nick and Happy end up embroiled in a scandalous case involving a corrupt Catholic bishop.

Co-starring Lili Mirojnick, Medina Senghore, Bryce Lorenzo, Ritchie Coster, and Patrick Fischler with a special guest appearance by screen legend Ann-Margret, "Happy!" will return in 2019.

synopsis:
HAPPY! is based on New York Times best-selling author Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson's graphic novel of the same name. The series follows Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni) -- an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man -- who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named Happy (voiced by Patton Oswalt).
