added: Sat, Oct 6th '18

Travel back in time to the 1980s, where kids said "no" to drugs, but "yes" to everything else.

Check out a new trailer for "Deadly Class," Syfy's upcoming teen-assassin action series based on the best-selling Image comic book series of the same name by writer/artist Rick Remender and illustrator Wes Craig.

Set against the backdrop of the San Francisco punk scene in the mid-80s, the show stars Benjamin Wadsworth (MTV's Teen Wolf) as a teenage runaway named Marcus who is recruited to an elite private high school, which turns out to be a secret training academy where misfit teens become deadly assassins.

"Doctor Strange" actor Benedict Wong co-stars as the school's headmaster, while fellow students are played by Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse), Michel Duval (Queen of the South), Maria Gabriela de Faria (Yo Soy Franky), Luke Tennie (Shock and Awe), Liam James (The Killing) and Taylor Hickson (Deadpool).

"Avengers: Infinity War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo are executive producing the series for the Syfy network, which is set to premiere Wednesday, January 16th.

Deadly Class follows a disillusioned teen recruited into a storied high school for assassins. Maintaining his moral code while navigating a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques, and his own adolescent uncertainties may prove fatal. Set against the backdrop of late 80s counter culture, Deadly Class is a coming of age story unlike anything you've ever seen. Based on the smash hit comic series of the same name by Rick Remender.
