CBS has released a brand-new trailer for "Tell Me a Story," the fairy tale-inspired, horror-tinged thriller series created and executive produced by Kevin Williamson, writer of the "Scream" films and creator of the horror series "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Following."

Offering a modern-day twist on three classic fairy tales, which include "The Three Little Pigs," "Little Red Riding Hood," and "Hansel and Gretel," the New York-set series interweaves three dark tales of rage, temptation, and guilt.

The cast includes James Wolk (Zoo), Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries), Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City), Michael Raymond-James (True Blood), Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Dania Ramirez (Once Upon a Time), Danielle Campbell (The Originals), and Dorian Missick (Luke Cage).

The first two episodes of the CBS streaming series is directed by TV helmer Liz Friedlander, whose credits include directing several episodes of "The Vampire Diaries," "The Following," and "Jessica Jones."

"Tell Me a Story" is scheduled to premiere Halloween, Wednesday, October 31st, exclusively on CBS All Access, which is the network's new subscription-based streaming service.

Set in modern-day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interweaves "The Three Little Pigs," "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Hansel and Gretel" into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.
