Syfy's Nightflyers — New Trailer

added: Fri, Oct 5th '18

Syfy has released a brand-new trailer for "Nightflyers," the upcoming space-set horror series from "Game of Thrones" creator George R.R. Martin.

The series, which is based on Martin's award-winning 1980 novella of the same name, features a strong ensemble cast that includes Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire), Eoin Macken (The Night Shift), Jodie Turner-Smith (The Last Ship), Brian F. O'Byrne (Manhunt: Unabomber), David Ajala (Falling Water), Maya Eshet (Teen Wolf), Sam Strike (EastEnders), and Angus Sampson (the Insidious films).

Loosely described as "Psycho in space," the show centers on a group of scientists who have been sent on a perilous space expedition. While figuring out a way to secure the fate of humanity, they discover their spaceship is suddenly malfunctioning, possibly caused by a malevolent extraterrestrial force that has mysteriously boarded the ship, undetected.

Executive produced by Martin along with showrunner Jeff Buhler, "Nightflyers" is set to premiere in December on Syfy, with all ten episodes expected to be released across all SYFY platforms.

Set in the year 2093, Nightflyers is a psychological thriller that follows a team of scientists aboard the Nightflyer, the most advanced ship ever built, as they embark on a journey to find other life forms. Their mission takes them to the edge of the solar system, and to the edge of insanity, as they realize true horror isn't waiting for them in outer space -- it's already on their ship.
