DC has released a brand-new trailer for "TITANS," the new live-action superhero series based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name.

Starring Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Batman's former sidekick Robin aka Dick Grayson, the show is set in Detroit, where a now-more mature Boy Wonder has put his past behind him and made a new life as a police detective. But when he befriends a young troubled girl with demonic powers, named Raven (played by newcomer Teagan Croft), he suddenly feels compelled to put together his own secret team of super-powered crime fighters, including Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) and Starfire (Anna Diop).

Executive produced by Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, acclaimed comic book writer Geoff Johns, and mega TV producer Greg Berlanti, "TITANS" is the first original DC series to be released exclusively on DC Universe, the newly-minted subscription-based streaming service, which is only available in the U.S. (Netflix had recently acquired the show's foreign distribution rights, and will stream the series globally in markets outside of the U.S. and China.)

It was just announced that "TITANS" has been renewed for a second season ahead of its season one debut, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Featuring guest appearances by Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as the crime-fighting duo Hawk and Dove, "TITANS" is set to stream on October 12th, with new episodes dropping weekly.
