It was announced today that Netflix has just made a deal with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros TV for the foreign distribution rights of DC's new much-anticipated superhero series "TITANS."

Netflix will be allowed to stream the Dick Grayson-led superhero team show globally to its members outside of the U.S. and China, reports Deadline. Along with the announcement, the streaming company has released a brand-new international trailer. Check it out, above.

"TITANS," which is a live-action adaptation of the popular DC Comics series about how Dick Grayson, aka Robin, founded his own team of super-powered crime fighters, is being released in the U.S. exclusively on DC Universe, the newly-minted subscription-based streaming service, which at the moment is only available in the U.S. (hence the foreign distribution deal with Netflix).

"TITANS" stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as the ex-Boy Wonder, Dick Grayson, who a year ago had left Batman and Gotham to go solo and is now working as a police detective in Detroit. He soon befriends a young troubled girl with demonic powers, named Raven (played by newcomer Teagan Croft). Together, they launch a new group of young superheroes, which include Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) and Starfire (Anna Diop).

The series, which is executive produced by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Greg Walker, and John Fawcett, will also introduce the crime-fighting duo Hawk and Dove (played here by Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly), who are likely being set up as a possible spin-off show.

Very much like "Arrow" on the CW network, "TITANS" will be the flagship show for a new DC streaming TV Universe, which will eventually include the live-action versions of "Doom Patrol" and "Swamp Thing," both of which are already in pre-production.

"TITANS" premieres in the U.S. October 12th on DC Universe and will then stream globally on Netflix.
