Michaela Coel, the breakout star/creator of the British comedy series "Chewing Gum" and who also co-starred in the Emmy-winning "Black Mirror" episode of "USS Callister," plays a dedicated single mother in London's Camden Town whose life suddenly transforms into a living musical when she meets a handsome stranger with a past in the official trailer for "Been So Long."

Directed by Tinge Krishnan (Junkhearts), the British feature, which is being released on Netflix later this month, is an adaptation of the soul/funk-infused stage musical of the same name by writer Che Walker and actor/musician Arthur Darvill (CW's Legends of Tomorrow).

The romantic musical co-stars Arinze Kene (TV's Crazyhead) as Michaela's love interest and Joe Dempsie (HBO's Game of Thrones) as Michaela's ex-lover and father of her young daughter.

Featuring original music written by music composer Christopher Nicholas Bangs and stage/TV actor Arthur Darvill, "Been So Long" is coming to Netflix on October 26th.

Romance, rage and revenge. Been So Long is a neon soaked, modern day romance set on the streets of London's musical hot-bed of Camden. We follow Simone (Michaela Coel), a dedicated single mother who, on a rare night on the town is charmed by a handsome yet troubled stranger, Raymond (Arinze Kene), igniting old and new feelings. Set against the backdrop of an ever-changing city, Been So Long is a fresh take on love, life and moving on.
