For his directorial debut, Jonah Hill travels back in time and gets to relive his youth as he captures the skate punk culture of the "Mid90s."

The coming-of-age, Skate-or-Die drama, which just premiered to rave reviews at this year's TIFF, stars newcomer Sunny Suljic (The Killing of a Sacred Deer) as a lonely 13-year-old kid named Stevie, who finds himself joining a punk group of skateboarders as they spend the entire summer clowning around at skate parks and skate shops throughout downtown Los Angeles.

The cast also includes real-life skateboarders Na-kel Smith and Olan Prenatt with Oscar-nominee Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea, Lady Bird) co-starring as Stevie's abusive older brother.

"Mid90s," which is also written by Hill and partially based on his own childhood and the lives of Hill's childhood friends, will be released in theaters October 19th, via A24 Films. Watch the new official trailer, above.

Written and directed by Jonah Hill, Mid 90s follows Stevie, a thirteen-year-old in 90s-era LA who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop.
