After two years of battling and recovering from throat cancer, Val Kilmer is back, and is once again acting in films. Though, granted, his voice isn't exactly what it once was, nonetheless, he can be seen playing a creepy maintenance man in the trailer for the upcoming horror thriller "The Super."

The film, which is produced by Emmy-winning TV mega-producer Dick Wolf (creator of the "Law & Order" franchise) and written by "Black Swan" co-writer John J. McLaughlin, stars Patrick John Flueger (Chicago P.D.) as an ex-New York cop who is hired as the new resident superintendent of a Manhattan apartment building. He soon discovers that there's a disturbing history of missing tenants. And while using those old detective skills, he suspects that they all have been murdered by one person ... Walter, the creepy maintenance guy who lives downstairs near the furnace. He, of course, is played by Kilmer in a menacing performance filled mostly with snarling and scowling.

Directed by German filmmaker Stephan Rick (The Dark Side of the Moon, The Good Neighbor), who is making his English-language debut, "The Super" will be released in theaters and VOD on October 19th.
