From horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan, of "Gerald's Game," "Ouija: Origin of Evil," and "Oculus," comes a new spine-chilling horror series for Netflix.

Check out the official trailer for "The Haunting of Hill House," which is a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson's classic 1959 Gothic horror novel of the same name.

Flanagan directs all ten episodes of the Netflix series, which features a strong ensemble cast that includes Carla Gugino, Michiel Huisman, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Henry Thomas.

The series tells a multi-generational supernatural story, focusing on five emotionally-scarred siblings who grew up together in the infamous haunted "Hill House." They are force to reunite after an unexpected family tragedy, which pushes them to confront their dark past.

Written by Flanagan with several episodes also penned by Meredith Averill, "​The Haunting of Hill House" is arriving just in time for Halloween, set to premiere October 12th on Netflix.

The Haunting of Hill House is a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson's legendary novel of the same name, about five siblings who grew up in the most famous haunted house in America. Now adults, they're reunited by the suicide of their youngest sister, which forces them to finally confront the ghosts of their own pasts ... some which lurk in their minds ... and some which may really be lurking in the shadows of the iconic Hill House.
