Replicas — Official Trailer

"We're going to replicate the human mind."

Keanu Reeves pushes the boundaries of science in the new official trailer for "Replicas."

The upcoming sci-fi thriller sees the "John Wick" star as a brilliant neuro-scientist. While working on a cutting-edge science project, in which his team attempts to imprint a biological brain of a dead soldier into a synthetic robot, Reeves' character finds himself facing a litany of moral and ethical issues. However, those issues are immediately put aside when he undergoes a personal tragedy, which forces him to take action despite the possible dangerous consequences.

Co-starring Silicon Valley's Thomas Middleditch and Iron Fist's Alice Eve, "Replicas" is directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, who previously wrote the screenplay for the Roland Emmerich-directed disaster thriller "The Day After Tomorrow" and who also wrote and directed the Don Cheadle-starring undercover spy thriller "Traitor."

Written by "London Has Fallen" scribe Chad St. John, from a story by Stephen Hamel, "Replicas" will be released later in the year.

In this sci-fi thriller, neuro-scientist William Foster (Keanu Reeves) is on the verge of successfully transferring human consciousness into a computer when his family is tragically killed in a car crash. Desperate to resurrect them, William recruits fellow scientist Ed Whittle (Thomas Middleditch) to help him secretly clone their bodies and create replicas. But he soon faces a "Sophie's choice" when it turns out that they can only bring three of the four family members back to life.
