Here's the first official teaser trailer for "Deadwax," an upcoming original shortform series for the horror streaming network Shudder.

The mystery thriller series, which stars Hannah Gross (Mindhunter, The Sinner) and features a guest appearance by veteran genre actor Ted Raimi (Ash vs Evil Dead), follows a music store scavenger as she hunts down a rare vinyl record with a notorious reputation. The recording is believed to have drove listeners mad, and even some to their deaths.

Set to screen next week at Fantastic Fest, "Deadwax" is written and directed by sound designer-turned-horror filmmaker Graham Reznick (I Can See You), who is also known for co-writing the horror video game "Until Dawn" and the Dave Bautista-starring action thriller "Bushwick."

"Deadwax" will be released sometime later in the year on Shudder.
