Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hahn play a middle-aged married couple struggling with infertility issues in the official trailer for "Private Life."
Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Tamara Jenkins (The Savages, Slums of Beverly Hills), the upcoming Netflix dramedy sees Giamatti and Hahn as Richard and Rachel, two struggling New York playwrights who have decided to go through the arduous process of having a child through in vitro fertilization.
But after several failed attempts, Richard and Rachel is quite surprised to find themselves developing a different type of family -- one that includes their recent college drop-out step-niece, Sadie (played by up-and-comer Kayli Carter, from the Netflix western miniseries "Godless"), who has just re-entered their life, and is living with them, temporarily.
Co-starring Molly Shannon, John Carroll Lynch, and Siobhan Fallon Hogan, "Private Life," which premiered to strong reviews at this year's Sundance, will be released on Netflix beginning October 5th. Watch the trailer, above.
