From the minds of Joel and Ethan Coen, comes six tall tales set in the American Old West, centering around settlers, scoundrels, outlaws, and one happy-go-lucky gunslinger named Buster Scruggs!

Check out the official trailer for "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs," a new Netflix anthology film that hails from the Oscar-winning team that brought you "No Country for Old Men," "True Grit," and "Fargo."

Originally conceived as a television project, but later developed into a six-segmented Western film for Netflix, "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" tells six wild wild west stories about a guitar-strumming gunslinger (played by Tim Blake Nelson), a clueless bank robber (James Franco), an unlucky prospector (Tom Waits), a travelling stage performer (Liam Neeson), a young starry-eyed frontier woman (Zoe Kazan), and a stagecoach-riding spinster (Tyne Daly).

The film, written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, just premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where it won an award for Best Screenplay, and so far has received glowing reviews from critics.

"The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" is scheduled to screen next month at the New York Film Festival before premiering on Netflix November 16th. It will also open in select theaters on November 8th.
