Marvel's The Gifted: Season 2 — New Trailer

Check out a new trailer for Season 2 of FOX and Marvel's mutant series "The Gifted," which is set to return later this month.

Created by Matt Nix (Burn Notice), "The Gifted" takes place in the X-Men universe, and centers on an underground network of fugitive mutants, called the Mutant Underground, who are led by Thunderbird (Blair Redford), Eclipse (Sean Teale), and Blink (Jamie Chung), along with ex-Sentinel agent Reed Strucker and his wife Caitlin (Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker) and their mutant daughter Lauren Strucker (Natalie Alyn Lind).

It seems, in the upcoming, new season, the Mutant Underground will not only find themselves facing off against an anti-mutant government, but also against the Inner Circle, an anti-human mutant club led by a powerful new villain named Reeva (played by Empire's Grace Byers), who is teaming up with a now-pregnant/ex-Mutant Underground leader Polaris (Emma Dumont) and a now-angry Andy Strucker (Percy Hynes White), Lauren's twin brother, both of whom was last seen flipping sides in the final moments of Season One.

With Season 2 being tagged with the title "Dawn of the Mutant Age," "The Gifted" is set to return Tuesday, September 25th on Fox. Watch the new trailer, above.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
