Documentary filmmaker Tommy Avallone has just made a documentary about famed comedian Bill Murray. But it's not about his long and distinguished career in Hollywood. But rather it's about Murray's mythic reputation of being Hollywood's most elusive star, who has on numerous occasions been spotted mysteriously hobnobbing with ordinary people at random social-gathering events.

Watch the official trailer for Avallone's doc. "The Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned From a Mythical Man," which features a collection of strange Bill Murray sightings and first-hand accounts of how the famous comic star just suddenly appeared at their respective gatherings.

For instance, a wedding photographer recalls the time he caught Murray on camera at a random stranger's wedding reception. There's also a story about how Murray randomly joined a girl's kickball game at a local park. There's even a story about Murray appearing out of nowhere to bartend at a local watering hole. Or that time, he crashed a house party and was spotted rummaging around the kitchen. He's very much like the Big Foot of celebrities. And it seems everyone has a personal Bill Murray sighting story to tell.

"The Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned From a Mythical Man," which premiered to strong reviews at this year's SXSW, will be released in select theaters and on VOD on October 26th.
