WB has released several sneak peek clips from the much-buzzed-about musical-romantic drama "A Star Is Born," starring Oscar-nominee Bradley Cooper and Grammy-winner Lady Gaga.
The film, which is also Cooper's directorial debut, is the modern-day remake of the classic tale of a fading star who helps launch the career of a raw, emerging talent.
In this case, Cooper plays Jackson Maine, a country-blues rock star who suffers from a severe addiction problem. Gaga, in her first leading role in a major motion picture, plays Ally, an aspiring singer-songwriter who suffers from self-doubt and insecurity. But despite her fears, Ally is motivated to reach her fullest potential when she develops a genuine connection with Jackson, who already sees her as a diamond in the rough.
Co-starring Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott, "A Star Is Born," which recently earned rave reviews at the Venice Film Festival and will play at TIFF this week, is hitting theaters October 5th.
