The life of a young Korean introvert is forever changed when he meets a mysterious woman and her equally mysterious male companion.

Check out the new U.S. teaser trailer for the upcoming Korean mystery thriller from award-winning South Korean filmmaker and novelist LEE Chang-dong (Poetry, Secret Sunshine).

Winner of the FIPRESCI Prize at this year's Cannes Film Festival, "Burning" stars Korean actor Ah-in Yoo (Punch, Veteran, The Throne) as a shy deliveryman embarking on a romantic-tinged relationship with an enigmatic, yet free-spirited woman (played by newcomer Jong-seo Jun) who claims to once have been his high school classmate.

But when, one day, she suddenly returns from a trip with a mysterious male suitor with a strange, icy demeanor (played by former "Walking Dead" star Steven Yeun, in his first Korean-language film), things take a turn from weird to wicked.

Based on the short story "Barn Burning" by Haruki Murakami, "Burning," which has already earned rave reviews from critics, will open in New York on October 26th and in Los Angeles on November 2nd before rolling out nationwide on Nov. 9th.

synopsis:
BURNING is the searing examination of an alienated young man, Jongsu (Ah-in Yoo), a frustrated introvert whose already difficult life is complicated by the appearance of two people into his orbit: first, Haemi (newcomer Jong-seo Jun), a spirited woman who offers romantic possibility, and then, Ben (Steven Yeun), a wealthy and sophisticated young man she returns from a trip with. When Jongsu learns of Ben's mysterious hobby and Haemi suddenly disappears, his confusion and obsessions begin to mount, culminating in a stunning finale.
