Ryan Gosling is suited up and ready for blast off.

Check out the new official trailer for "First Man," the highly-anticipated Neil Armstrong bio-pic from Oscar-winning "La La Land" director Damien Chazelle.

Gosling portrays the legendary astronaut in this late 1960s-era NASA drama, which is chronicling the events that led Armstrong to become the first man to walk on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission.

Based on Armstrong's official biography by James R. Hansen, the film also stars The Crown's Claire Foy as Armstrong's wife, Janet; Friday Night Lights' Kyle Chandler as famed 'Mercury Seven' astronaut Deke Slayton, who is NASA's first Chief of the Astronaut Office, and House of Cards' Corey Stoll as famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who is the second man to ever walk on the Moon.

Co-starring Jason Clarke, Patrick Fugit, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Shea Whigham, and Pablo Schreiber, "First Man," which was written by Oscar-winning "Spotlight" scribe Josh Singer, will premiere later this week at the Venice Film Festival and will screen next week at TIFF, before officially coming to theaters on October 12th.

On the heels of their six-time Academy Award-winning smash, La La Land, Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling reteam for Universal Pictures' First Man, the riveting story of NASA's mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost -- on Armstrong and on the nation -- of one of the most dangerous missions in history.
