Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. makes his directorial debut with "Bayou Caviar," in which he also stars as a former boxing champion who inadvertently gets mixed up with the Russian mob.

The upcoming crime film, for which a trailer has been released, also stars "X-Men" actress Famke Janssen as a heavily-tattooed freelance photographer and Oscar-winner Richard Dreyfuss as a nefarious Russian gangster who owns alligators.

The cast also includes YouTube personality Lia Marie Johnson and singer/actress Katharine McPhee (TV's Scorpion).

"Bayou Caviar," which was co-written by Gooding Jr. and Eitan Gorlin, will be released in theaters and on VOD October 5th.
