Watch the Emmy-winning "Game of Thrones" star as he transforms himself into famed '80s TV icon, "Fantasy Island" actor Herve Villechaize, in this first teaser trailer for "My Dinner With Herve."

The upcoming HBO biopic, which also stars "Fifty Shades" actor Jamie Dornan, is inspired by a real-life series of interviews that were conducted a day before Villechaize's tragic death in 1993.

The film, through the use of flashbacks, will chronicle the French-born dwarf actor's career in Hollywood from his early days playing the evil James Bond villain "Nick Nack" in "The Man with the Golden Gun" to eventually landing the role that made him a 1980s superstar -- Tattoo from the hit TV show "Fantasy Island."

The HBO movie is written and directed by British journalist-turned-filmmaker Sacha Gervasi (Hitchcock, Anvil: The Story of Anvil), and it's based on his own brief yet indelible friendship with Villechaize -- Jamie Dornan plays a semi-fictionalized version of Gervasi, who in the film goes by the name, Danny Tate.

"My Dinner With Herve" is set to premiere October 20th on HBO.

Inspired by a real story, MY DINNER WITH HERVE explores the unlikely friendship between struggling journalist Danny Tate (Jamie Dornan) and Herve Villechaize (Peter Dinklage), the world's most famous knife-wielding French dwarf actor, as it unfolds over one wild night in L.A. -- an encounter that will have life-changing consequences for both.
